Jean Esther, MSW LICSW


Jean has been a practicing psychotherapist in Northampton MA for the past 35 years specializing in a mind-body approach in the healing of trauma. At the root of her work is over 40 years of training in meditation practice. She teaches in the Buddhist tradition at Insight Meditation Center of Pioneer Valley ( in Western MA and IMS (Insight Meditation Society) in Barre, MA ( as well as across the US and Canada.  Her work is also informed by training in Jungian Psychology, Somatic Experiencing, and physical theatre. 

Polly Howells, LCSW


Polly practiced psychotherapy in Brooklyn, New York for 38 years.  She now lives primarily in Woodstock, New York, where she is actively involved in the Transition Town movement. (  She helps activists navigate our turbulent, changing world, as a facilitator of The Pachamama Alliance’s “Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream” symposium, and Joanna Macy’s “Work that Reconnects.”  She is on the Advisory Board of Bioneers, a Santa Fe- and San Francisco-based environmental, social justice, and women's empowerment organization, and is also a member of the "Band" of Radical Joy for Hard Times (  


Janice Stieber Rous, ACAT BODY THERAPIST


Janice is the founder of BODY DIALOGUE (, a practice that includes Alexander Technique Stough breathing coordination and meditative  movement traditions.  She is currently teaching body dialogue certification that is open to all students. She created a retreat entitled SOUL TENDING, helping students to practice the tools taught in BODY SOUL RHYTHMS. She is the board chair of Tree Sisters (

All three teachers have completed the BodySoulRhythms® Leadership Training Program with Jungian Analyst Marion Woodman, movement specialist Mary Hamilton, and voice coach Ann Skinner.
